JEE Main B.Arch paper of moderate difficulty, say students – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Hundreds of students from the city and elsewhere in the state appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for the B. Arch/B. Planning paper on the first day of the February session.

Students and faculty said that the paper is of moderate difficultly and added that giving choice in numerical value questions has given an advantage to students. “For the first time, the choice is given in multiple-choice question paper. Students were asked to write only 5 out of a total of ten questions in section 2—numerical value questions and there is no negative marking. This came as a welcoming change to students and made paper much simpler,” said M Uma Sankar, All India IIT Coordinator, Sri Chaitanya Group adding that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not gone out of the way to give easy question paper this time amid the pandemic.

Candidates said that the maths section was slightly easy when compared with aptitude and drawing sections. “I managed to answer all questions in mathematics. Aptitude was little difficult for me,” said Charan J, who appeared for the exam on Tuesday. While the B. Arch/B. Planning paper was conducted on Tuesday, students will appear for the B.E./B. Tech entrance examination from Wednesday. In the country, about 6.6 lakh candidates are registered for the JEE Main, which will be held between February 23 and February 26. From Telangana, as many as 73,782 candidates registered for the February session. From AP, 87,797 candidates registered for the examination.
