Call of Duty: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to get new zombies mode ‘Outbreak’ – Times of India

Season 2 of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War starts February 25 and will feature a new ‘Zombies mode’ called Outbreak. Rumours about the new mode have been in circulation for some days now and Activision has confirmed them.
The Outbreak mode will be a “large scale Zombies experience unlike any other”, says Activision. It will be set in the Ural Mountains in the heart of Russia where the agents of Requiem take their fight to. There will be new enemies, objectives and rewards for the players.
As per the blog post: “As Requiem continues to fall behind in the arms race against Omega Group, various regions in the Ural Mountains have recently become Dark Aether outbreak sites. With new opportunities to research the Dark Aether and advance Requiem’s agenda, it’s up to you and three fellow agents to complete the deadly experiments that few have survived.”
Activision has added Frenzied Guard, a new Field Upgrade, which when activated, gets all the enemies to target the user of the upgrade for a little duration. The user’s Armor will take damage. Meanwhile, the other operators can evade the undead easily then and go on about with their plan. The Frenzied Guard upgrade can be bolstered with the help of the Aetherium Crystals which gives it powerful modifiers like repairing the Armor, increasing the time to 15 seconds and forcing the enemies to slow down.
There is also a new ammo mod called Shatter Blast that lends explosive damage to each bullet fired. This gives the bullets the ability to destroy armour too upon impact, due to their explosive power. The ammo mod has been added to specifically aid in your fight against the Heavy Zombies.
