The minister has announced the CBSE exam dates at 6 pm through a virtual meet. According to the minister, the Central Board of Secondary Education class 10 and class 12 board exams will be held from May 4 to June 10.
The minister said that the CBSE board examination will be held in adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
The Central Board of Secondary Education usually conducts the practical tests in January and theory exams in February and March. This year the CBSE Board practical exams will be conducted from March 01.
Earlier, issuing a statement, the board had said, “The exams as and when they are being conducted, will be in the written mode and not in an online mode. The exams will be conducted following all COVID protocols.”
This year, the syllabus was reduced by almost 30% due to COVID19. However, no change has been made for the practicals, as per the teachers.
The board, however, changed the question pattern a little, increasing the weightage of the multiple-choice questions.
The board has made a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for conducting the exams. For conducting the board practical exams, separate dates would be sent to all schools, for which the board would appoint an observer. The board observer will oversee the observer, practical and project evaluation.
