New Xbox Series X and Series S controllers to work with iPhone, iPads – Times of India

It’s official. Apple and Microsoft are working together to bring compatibility for the Xbox Series X controller. As per a report by The Verge, both tech giants are creating new Xbox Series X and Series S controllers that will work with iOS and iPadOS. Earlier, Apple and Microsoft had worked together to add support for Xbox Elite 2 controller and Xbox Adaptive Controller to iOS 14. But not to forget it did take some time for this to happen and we can only expect that Apple doesn’t take another year to roll out support this time.
Another report by AppleInsider hinted at the possibility that Apple may include support for DualSense controllers as well after the recent PS5 launch. It said that the new iOS 14.3 beta release “appears to include behind-the-scenes support for the new Playstation 5 DualSense controller.” However, this doesn’t mean that the DualSense controller will work. “Both wired and wireless connections to the DualSense controller are non-functional as of this first beta,” the report confirmed. Apple hasn’t mentioned anything officially about supporting Playstation 5 DualSense controllers.
Apple TV made its way to the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S gaming consoles this month. The Apple TV app will give gamers access to thousands of shows and movies from one convenient location, allowing them to enjoy Apple TV+, Apple TV channels, brand-new and popular movies, and personalised entertainment recommendations. One can subscribe to Apple TV+ on the Apple TV app directly from Xbox for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial starting November 10. Apple TV is also arrived on Sony PlayStation5.
