NASSCOM launches Future Skills Prime digital learning platform – Times of India

National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) has launched a digital learning platform called the Future Skills Prime to encourage remote and self-paced learning. The platform has been launched under a joint partnership between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, NASSCOM, and the IT industry. It will offer subsidised access to certified courses in 10 identified emerging technologies.
Offered courses will include Artificial Intelligence, Internet of things, Big Data Analytics, Robotic Process Automation, Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing, Cloud Computing, Social & Mobile, Cyber Security, Augmented/Virtual Reality and Blockchain. The digital learning platform is aimed at aspirants from tier-II and tier-III cities. It will help learners attain ‘digital fluency’ and get certified in industry-validated and government-approved courses.
Future Skills Prime will serve as an online aggregator platform with expanded catalogues and multiple skilling options, facilitating self-paced & continuous learning. Registered candidates will be provided with a diagnostic of their aptitude and capabilities to guide their choices of learning content on the portal.
Content on the platform will be created/curated directly by industry to ensure relevance to the job market. Course content will be aligned to the NSQF approved National Occupational Standards & Job Roles (level 5 & above).
A learner will be able to choose from multiple course options- online or blended, self-paced or instructor-led, paid or free and formal or non-formal. Under the programme, a network of CDAC & NIELIT Centres across India will be leveraged for the training of Government officers.
Any learning that an aspirant acquires during the re-skilling journey will be recorded & recognized. With the help of a skill wallet, registration of candidates and redemption of incentives will be tracked. The platform will also provide learning content on professional skills.
