Intel to help small laptop brands take on HP, Dell with new NUC M15 – Times of India

Intel is reportedly gearing up to launch its new laptop with Core i5 and i7 processor. While Intel will be making the laptop, it will not be selling it with its own brand name. As per a report by The Verge, Intel will be supplying the laptop–called NUC M15– to small brands who will be able to use their own stickers and also decide the storage configuration.
Intel is not doing this for the first time. Earlier it supplied gaming laptops to brands across US and Europe. The report added that NUC M15 will help smaller brands offer “premium-level laptops” to customers and also compete with the likes of Dell, HP and others without investing much into product research.
The NUC M15 will offer a 15,6-inch 1080p IPS display with a battery life of up to 16 hours and will be available with either Intel 11th Gen Core i5-1135G7 or i7-1165G7 quad-core processor. The device will house Iris Xe integrated graphics with options of 8GB or 16GB of RAM. The laptop features an aluminum unibody design. Intel may also offer touchscreen options as well.
The device will offer two Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 Type-C, USB-A and USB-C ports along with headphone jack and HDMI ports. The USB Type-C port can be used for charging.
The report by The Verge said that Intel has partnered with Tongfeng for this laptop– the same partner which had earlier created the MAG-15 gaming laptop.
