GSHSEB Exams 2021: Pattern of Class 9-12 exams made easier – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Thursday declared that there will be a general option instead of internal option so far as descriptive answers are concerned in examinations for 2020-21 for Class 9 to 12 students.

The board has decided to offer the relaxation of granting general option in tests in secondary section due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Besides, it has decided to increase the portion of multiple choice questions from 20% to 30% this year for students of Class 9-11 in general and science streams. The ratio of MCQ and descriptive questions will be 30:70 this year. It has communicated its decision of the changes in examination method to all district education officers and other concerned authorities.

The board had earlier decided to do away the system of 50% multiple choice questions for Class 12 science examinations, but has now decided to retain the system for one more year. The ratio of MCQs will remain same.
