Vivo confirms list of smartphones to get OriginOS update – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Vivo introduced its new Android skin called OriginOS. This new Android skin will replace the existing FunTouch OS of the company. The OriginOS comes with widget support called Klotski grid — which can be both rectangular or square in shape. These widgets can also deliver “Nano Alerts,” making them display regular updated information.
The company also adds that the Origin OS will also offer support for realistic looking wallpapers. The new OS skin also comes with 26 gesture combinations and support for easy access to SuperCard — a mobile payment tool. Vivo has now confirmed the list of smartphones which will receive this latest Android skin on their Vivo smartphones.
The company has confirmed the range of Vivo smartphones which will get the open beta update in China before January 2021. The company has also confirmed that its upcoming Vivo X series of smartphones will come with OriginOS out-of-the-box.
