These OnePlus smartphones will get only one more major Android update – Times of India

Earlier this month, OnePlus launched two smartphones in the Oneplus Nord series in the US — Nord N10 5G and N100 — as part of its budget handset series. One interesting thing about these handsets that has come to light is that they will get only “one major Android update:”
This has been reported by Android Central who cites a OnePlus spokesperson.
“The Nord N10 5G and N100 will receive one major Android update and a total of two years of security updates. The plan for these two devices aligns with industry standards for smartphones in more affordable price ranges. As always, we will continue listening to feedback from our users and looking for ways to improve the software experience for all OnePlus devices”
The OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100 run on OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Just this week, another report by Android Central reported that OnePlus Nord series is set to get a new smartphone called OnePlus Nord SE, which is expected to be launched in India as well as in Europe.
As per the report, the OnePlus Nord SE — that is codenamed Ebba — will come with support
for 65W fast charging for the 4500mAh battery. This is the same as the current flagship
smartphone OnePlus 8T. This means that just as the OnePlus 8T, the OnePlus Nord SE is also
claimed to charge fully under 40 minutes. In terms of other specs, the Android Central report claims that the device will feature an AMOLED panel and will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC.
