Mumbai University announces MCom and IDOL results – Times of India

MUMBAI: Mumbai University announced the results of close to 9,000 MCom students on Thursday, as well as final-year BA and BCom students of the Institute of Open and Distance Learning (IDOL). The exams for distance education students had been disrupted in the first week of October after an alleged cyber attack on the server. They were finally held three weeks later.

Close to 9,000 students appeared for the final-year MCom exams from the university and its affiliated colleges, 95% of whom passed. From IDOL, more than 87% of the 6,000 TYBCom students passed and the success rate of TYBA students was recorded over 90%. MA results are awaited.

The university had postponed IDOL exams and floated a fresh tender to engage a new third-party service provider. Exams were then scheduled in the last week of October. The university has so far announced results of 206 exams. While there is no clarity on the winter session of the exams, the university has started seeking exam forms.
