OnePlus 9: There will be no third OnePlus 9 series smartphone: Report – Times of India

OnePlus 9 series will have only two models, suggests a new report. Earlier this week, a leak suggested that OnePlus 9 series will have three smartphones. However, a Twitter handle going by the name TechDroider in its latest post has refuted the leak and has said that there will be no third OnePlus 9 smartphone.
“There’s no Third OnePlus 9 Smartphone. OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro Next year Mid-March. That Weibo News is Fake. So no “OnePlus 9 Ultra or Something” as some Speculated,” the tipster says in his latest tweet.

In a follow up tweet, TechDroider further lists final models (alleged) of OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro that the company may launch. These may include LE2110, LE2117 and LE2119 for the OnePlus 9, and LE2120 and LE2127 for the OnePlus 9 Pro.
To recall, a previous report by Android Central has suggested that the company is planning to schedule the launch of the next OnePlus flagship around mid-March next year. As per the report, pushing the launch much before the traditional launch will give more time to the device as the OnePlus 9T-series launch may happen sometime in October 2021. It further suggested that a March launch will make the device compete better with the flagship phones from Samsung, Xiaomi and other key Android smartphone makers.
