Instagram AR effect: Instagram launches new ‘Diwali’ AR effect filters, here’s how to use it and share with others – Times of India

Facebook-owned photo and video sharing app Instagram introduced an augmented reality (AR) filter for Diwali called Share Your Light. The new filters are inspired from diyas and festival lights and colours. The new AR filter comes as a fun way to wish and greet people this Diwali.
The new Share Your Light Instagram AR filter is available in several languages — English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu and it can be found under Instagram’s camera effect gallery with a Festive Diya icon. Users can also add text, create boomerang and other effects with this filter.
Apart from this, Instagram has also announced new IGTV shows with popular creatures like Kapila, Arjun Kanungo, Shirley Setia and others to offer fresh and original content.
Here’s how to use the new Share Your Light AR filter on Instagram
Make sure to update the Instagram app to its latest version
Now, open the app and tap on the camera icon from the top right corner
Inside the camera, swipe right and look for Festive Diya icon
Now, choose the language of your choice and start recording your thought by pressing and holding the shutter button or single-tap to capture a photo and share with others like any other filter.
For those unaware, Instagram has recently increased the live stream time limit to four hours from 1 hour limit. Users can now also record Reels video of up to 30 seconds.
